This Months Desktop

20090723-IMG_8726
I did a big cleanup about 3-4 weeks ago prior to entering into exam period. I have to say though, exams really screw up any tidy room. Both my bedroom and study looked like they have been bombed with paper and other random crap everywhere.

Asian Poses 2: Animated

Another post about Asian poses. This time, I’ve collected a bunch of animated GIF files that show some models do quirky cute poses in motion! I’m sure some of you have already seen these. I’ve managed to collect quite a few and thought I’d share their random poses with you. I also have a surprise because I forced my girlfriend (Miriam) to do one too. If I get her permission I will post it, but I shall have to consult her first orz.

Full Size Gundam

So finally, in response to North Korea’s nuclear threats, the Japanese have finally called for the services of Gundams. This is the life size Gumdam that will protect Japan from any missiles from the North. This aside, it is very impressive that the Japanese are finally putting this up. This is like a dream come true for all Gundam fans. Gundams are now such a big icon of Japan and the series and the Anime have been around for yonks. I have watched numerous series and I still get captivated with each new series. War, robots, tech suits, nuclear blasts, guns and anime are just really cool.

Nike Shoes

I’ve always been a bit of a sneaker head and I have collected some Nike, Converse and Adidas kicks over the pass years. However my collection is not that great since it can be a rather expensive hobby and with all my other hobbies I have in line, it’s just not economical. But this particular release is classic. Clean and simple but the design is just classic.

Sukiyaki BSA Lunch Event

BSA is holding an all-you-can-eat Sukiyaki lunch for their members. Those who are members can attend for only $15. For those who do not know what Sukiyaki (すき焼き), it is similar to the chinese/korean hotpot or steamboat, but instead of light soup base with dipping sauce, there is no sauce for sukiyaki since the soup is really strong in flavour. Typically the ingredients include sliced beef and vegetables such as Shitake mushrooms.

Nice Desk Setups 6

Have not had a good spell lately with my Mac or PC. PC decided to die and during a BIOS flash. Have done these flashes many times and have not previously had a problem. This time it started out no different, but it just didn’t work out. Also had some issues with my Mac, which luckily Apple fixed for free since it was out of warranty. As a result, I’ve been without a computer for a while and am still in the process of restoring my applications, data, photos and the like.
