Shooting at High ISO

IMG_1322

I’ve noticed a lot of people are afraid of shooting at high ISO. One of the things I love about digital cameras these days is their ability to change ISO on the fly. In the film world, you can only have one ISO setting at a time, which is determined by the type of film you buy.

DLSRs now give you much more flexibility, allowing you to change ISOs on the run. As a result, you can shoot correctly as the light disappears.

I like shooting at high ISO. I don’t know why.

I think it reminds me of film…

For this set, I shot at ISO 3200. Not too shabby.

FILM slr does have its own limitations. Fear of high ISO usually because of noticeably high noise. The pic of your cat is quite sharp tho!

p.s. I’m letting my Nikon D90 kit go. Know anyone that would be interested?? :)

Yea I guess the fear of noise is what a lot of people don’t like. But I like noise… in the right amounts…

Nadia was using 3200 Black and White film on our trip and she got them back and they look amazing. Heaps of noise, but thats part of the charm of film.
