Apple Store Robina

So the Apple Store opened at Robina Town Centre on Saturday the 9th of May.  Very surprised that there wasn’t one in Brisbane first.  Been many discussions on various Mac forums about Apple’s reason for this but I think Apple draws a crowd where ever they are regardless of location.

Nice Desk Setups 4

Have been again, browsing through good office and desk setup and layouts.  As I mentioned before, I think a good setup or layout really helps and improves workflow and productivity.  For some though, it doesn’t matter too much as they can be productive in any condition.  I am not that lucky and for me to be productive I really need a good clean and tidy environment.

Messy Hard Drives

Ok so I decided to do a bit of tidying up on the Mac and started looking through and sorting the numerous crap I download over the last 8 months that has just been dumped into a single folder called ‘_dump’.  You then realise you download a lot even though you know other people may download even more.

iPhone 3G (… finally)

 

Finally, Apple has released the second version of their iPhone, 3G capable.  This is good news because being 2.5G / Edge previously really made its key feature (portability and internet) a double edged sword for Australian consumers.  Previous iPhone owners in Australia that bought overseas unlocked phones may have charged ridiculous amounts for their use of GPRS on the iPhone.  Now that the 3G version is announced, the internet speeds and pricing will improve dramatically, making it truly a mobile device that can be used for enterprise and personal.
